Position Summary:
As the Vice President of Engineering, the candidate will have an established track record of leading cross-functional teams that implement enterprise applications and systems using agile methods. The candidate will work closely with product management to ensure that product vision, roadmap, and backlogs are effectively translated into actionable work items for their teams. The candidate will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle and will play key role in developing and improving people, process, and technologies.
Responsibilities Include:
• Lead a team of global developers and testers through the delivery of quality on-time releases.
• Continuously improve agile development methods ensuring value is delivered to the customer early and often.
• Oversee the evolution of the product offerings
• Ensure features are developed with technical standards that result in code that is maintainable, easily enhanced, and consistent with architectural goals.
• Work with product management to ensure a product roadmap that is achievable and create a development plan for product releases to support it.
• Empower team members to achieve their best through collaboration and take pride in achieving common goals.
• Foster individual career development and high morale. Attract and retain top talent.

Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of software development life cycles and experience implementing Agile Methodologies and a track record of successfully delivering complex software products
• Expertise with enterprise scale applications running in critical environments requiring unparalleled performance and stability
• Algorithmic design, security modeling and data privacy
• Firmware/device level experience
• Strong technical background with enterprise software development experience including C#, Java, databases (SQL and Oracle), multi-tiered architectures, web-based technologies and SOA
• Passion for building high-quality software and direct experience managing software test engineers
• Passion for lean/effective/pragmatic software methods and process
• Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire others to achieve success
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication
• 15 years industry experience with at least 5 in a Senior Leadership position
• Masters/PhD (preferred) in Engineering, or related field
