McCormick joins HipCricket as VP Sales and Client Development

Dennis McCormick has joined HipCricket as VP Sales & Client Development.
Dennis has spent over 25 years in radio and television sales management and worked hard to build great teams. “I have long believed that empowering employees and flattening out superior and subordinate relationships is one the keys in allowing co-workers to realize their greatest potential.” Dennis started his career in the advertising agency business and quickly emerged as a skilled negotiator as he stewarded the effort on all the agencies consumer/broadcast accounts. He was recruited by the NBC affiliate, KING TV where he spent several years learning the importance of need satisfaction selling. He then moved to the KCPQ, Seattle’s Fox affiliate where he served as a National Sales Manager for seven years. He was promoted to Local Sales Manager and took over a team of three sales people. The staff grew to ten in four years. Local revenue grew 250% while the market was up 50%. To quote Dennis, “our goal was to get our unfair share of the market.” Dennis was recruited by one of the nation’s premier news talk stations, KIRO radio where again Dennis applied his open-door style to build a great team and grow KIRO into one of the top 15 revenue-producing radio stations in the US. Dennis partnered in an advertising agency during his last venture where he served as Director Business Development/Client Services. He worked on the agencies accounts in growing their sales and increasing exposure through traditional and contemporary media. “HipCricket was one of our providers and it demonstrated the value of one to one marketing via mobile devices.”Dennis is a graduate of the University of Washington where he regularly guest lectures. He is married and has two children.
